Innovative Language Learning holds that language is communication. This is why we include dialogues with characters in our lessons and through these constructed scenarios seek to place learners in an imaginary but realistic social context. Structuring the material this way will improve both retention and helps uncover social dynamics as well as giving learners examples of real-world language use.

We also prioritize the reinforcement of lexical items through repetition in our lessons. Most of the lessons include productive practice to reinforce learning and build fluency in the target language. Each lesson is about 10-15 minutes on average and we have different types of instructional content in our lessons, including audio, video, and easy-to-print documents and worksheets.

Audio lessons can be accessed and used from anywhere and are helpful in practicing listening and speaking skills. Video lessons offer an experience that is just like being in a class lecture, with visual elements aiding the learning process. Documents offer great reading practice and allow for plenty of opportunities to review your learning progress.

Practice assignments and worksheets are important tools to reinforce your learning. They are also beneficial in improving your fluency. Assessments are great tools to check your knowledge and learning progress. They also help language learners set goals and identify the necessary gaps in knowledge to reach them.

A quick note on language: All of our courses are designed with English speakers in mind — our lessons, explanations, and learning materials are all in English. If you're not yet fluent in English, our courses may not be the best fit for you, and we'd hate for you to have a frustrating experience! We recommend looking for courses that teach from your native language instead.
